At Approximately 08:23 am on this date West Iredell, Stony Point, Monticello, Hiddenite, Iredell Rescue were notified of a possible structure fire, responding units advised of heavy smoke showing from Old Mountain rd. and Island Ford. As West Iredell Engine 2 Arrived they advised of a working fire on the second floor of the residence heavy fire and smoke showing. Crews than made an attack on the fire and a control time was issued at 09:00 am, West Iredell units stayed on the scene and continued overhaul operations all units cleared at 10:00 am.
